COLLABORATION FOR LEVI'S 501 DAY
For their 501 day - the birthday of the very first blue jean (2018), Levi's invited artists from all over the country to use the denim pair as a canvas for self-expression. All the art pieces finally came together in an art exhibit at the 501 Day event held at Mumbai’s Famous Studios.

The theme for my artwork was:
SISTERHOOD OF TRAVELING PANTS
The talking point of my art piece is the love, warmth & collective experiences shared by an ever-expanding circle of female friends. They are brought together by their complimenting personalities, varied tastes for adventure & the need/want to create an ecosystem of constant support for each other. These pants document the individual experiences collected during their travels across the world, to be shared with the rest of the clan, over an evening glass of wine. They seek each other out for life advice, shopping suggestions, recipes & general inspiration. And hence, a network of uplifting individuals is created.
After multiple trials, the materials that I finally chose to work with were black thread and gold sequins.
